Hello! I’m Jazmyne Samuels, but you can call me Jaz! I am a third-year pharmacy student currently serving as the President of SCCP. I graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX in 2021 with a B.S. in Biochemistry. I am currently a Pharmacy Intern at one of the Houston Methodist community hospitals, and participate in a research lab in the college. In my free time, I enjoy working out, reading, and trying new food places around Houston! What I love about SCCP is this specific organization has provided me with many opportunities to explore the various clinical pharmacy careers and develop both leadership and professional skills I will use for the rest of my pharmacy career. As the SCCP President, I plan to continue to uphold the pillars of the organization and provide the best experience for our members with resources about clinical pharmacy!

Alyssa GlassPresident-ElectHello, my name is Alyssa Glass and this year I will be serving as President Elect of SCCP. I am currently a second year pharmacy student at University of Houston College of Pharmacy. I am so excited to be apart of SCCP for the second year. I chose this amazing organization because not only do they strive to serve and educate others, but SCCP builds relationships mentoring relationships that go beyone pharmacy. Hello, my name is Ashlyn Pulliam and I am a P3 at UCHOP currently serving as SCCP's Vice President of Interdisciplinary Development! I am from the Houston area and received my bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Genetics from Texas A&M University before attending pharmacy school. In my free time I like to watch Netflix, workout, and hang out with friends. I was drawn to pharmacy because I wanted to make an impact in the community and was drawn to SCCP because of the ample opportunities they provide to students to explore different pharmacy specialties, as well as network with these clinicians. My goal as VPID is to bring in hold seminars that are beneficial to professional development, as well as bring in clinicians that will prepare students for APPEs through various types of patient cases.

Hi everyone! My name is Maryam Nafea, and I’m currently a p2 at UHCOP. I did my undergrad in Human Biology, and moved from Salt Lake City, Utah to Houston! My hobbies are traveling and baking. My current interest in pharmacy is pediatrics. This year I will be serving as SCCP’s Vice President of Internal Advancement. I’m excited to help pharmacy students learn and explore clinical pharmacy by inviting guest speakers with different clinical backgrounds to our general meetings. I’m also in charge of the clinical mentorship chain program and can’t wait to match students with a mentor of the same interest. I look forward to working with the rest of the team and seeing what SCCP will accomplish!

Hi everyone! My name is Serena Draper, and I am a third-year student here at UHCOP. I am the current secretary for SCCP. I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX and attended Texas A&M Corpus Christi for my undergraduate studies. In my free time I love to attend spin classes, read, and binge reality TV. I was drawn to pharmacy for various reasons, but my desire to seek challenges and critical thinking were my driving factors. I am grateful for SCCP to be a part of an organization which connects us student pharmacists with practicing pharmacist in various fields we are interested in. I am thrilled for this upcoming year and even more grateful to be a part of a great team.

I was raised in Beaumont, TX and graduated from Sam Houston State University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology. In my free time a like to explore new parks, try new food spots, and workout. I have an interest in emergency medicine, informatics, and administration. I believe pharmacy is a very dynamic filed of healthcare that always looks for innovative ways to improve patient outcomes. Hey everyone! My name is Damilola Dada and I am a P3 currently at UHCOP! I was born in Fort Worth Texas and raised in the Dallas area. I split my pre-requisite years between Xavier University in New Orleans and right here at UH! Outside of school I like to focus on self care, make TikTok's, and try new food places around the city! I am so excited to be apart of the SCCP team as the Historian so that I can document all of the good work that SCCP does clinically and for the community through photos. Sccp Hey! My name is Abigail Alley, and I am the Fundraising Co-Chair for SCCP. I received my Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin in Chemistry before moving back to Houston to pursue my career in pharmacy. In our limited free time as students, I enjoy running at Memorial Park, getting coffee at local spots, and catching up with friends and family. In SCCP, I love exploring the many branches of clinical pharmacy and finding my passions. As Fundraising Co-Chair, I am excited to host events that let members grab a sweet treat or some merch and connect with each other! I hope to see you stop by!

Hi everyone! My name is Savitaa Dookran and I am a P3 student this year serving as SCCP’s fundraising co-chair. I’m originally from San Antonio,TX and received my bachelors in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. When I’m not studying, I love to binge watch tv shows and explore places to eat all around Houston. This is my third year serving as an officer for SCCP and I’m so thankful for all of the opportunities this org has offered me. As fundraising co-chair I hope to interact with more students outside of my class while also increasing our funds for this academic year.

Kiran WazirPublic Relations Chair
Hello my name is Kiran Wazir and I am a P3 student currently serving as the Public Relations Chair for SCCP. I am originally from Pakistan and moved to Pennsylvania for my Bachelors in Biology and psychology from Thomas Jefferson University. I took a little break from school after and worked in multiple aspects like the bank, CVS and the Quva. After giving it some thought I decided to go to pharmacy school and hence here at UHCOP. In my free time I love hanging out with my friends and family, and trying out new restaurants with them. I also enjoy playing badminton, ping pong and taking long walks in parks with water bodies. I have two beautiful and very stubborn cats, Simon and O’Malley who are very friendly but spoiled! I decided to join SCCP because of the friendly community and the opportunities it provided me as I joined the pharmacy community. In my role, I hope to create fun events for our officers to appreciate them for their dedication and hard work. I hope to see you guys during our events and meetings! :)

Hello, my name is Bryant Flowers and I am the Sr. Service Chair for SCCP for the Fall 2023- Spring 2024 academic year. I am from the Bahamas and graduated from St. John's University in Minnesota with a Bachelor's in Biochemistry and a minor in Philosophy. My hobbies include watching anime, gaming, lifting and playing basketball and spending time with friends. I have always been interested in health care but I gravitated toward pharmacy after getting exposure to different drugs' mechanism of action and understanding how patient's get better. Pharmacists are vital to the healthcare system and I feel like I can make a difference as one. I wanted to be in SCCP because there are a lot of opportunity to grow in my professional career and a learn more about clinical pharmacy and get involved. As Sr. Service Chair, I intend to plan and coordinate health fairs and volunteer opportunities in order for our organization to give back to our community.

Cynthia MaSr. Research Program Chair
Hi! My name is Cynthia, and I’m a P2 student currently serving as SCCP’s Research Program Sr. Co-chair. I’m originally from Dallas and received my Bachelor’s in Biology from UT Dallas. I decided to pursue pharmacy school after working as a community pharmacy technician and seeing firsthand how our efforts help keep people safe and on the road to feeling better. I love that SCCP offers mentorship opportunities, and as part of the Research Program, I hope that I can help build lasting relationships between our amazing students and equally amazing faculty. Outside of school, my interests include baking, hiking, and true crime podcasts. I’m really excited for this year and look forward to meeting many new faces!

Najat Abu-HmidanJr. Research Program ChairHello, my name is Najat Abu-Hmidan and I am a first- year pharmacy student at UHCOP currently serving as an SCCP Jr. Research Chair. I was born in Houston but raised in Germany. I came back after high school to achieve my dream of becoming a pharmacist which I had since I was 15 years old. I believe pharmacists are the bridge between the medical world and our society and have the ability to help patients better since we are the most accessible healthcare providers. In my free time, I like to read books or spend time with my family. I joined SCCP because the clinical sector of pharmacy was always the most interesting one for me and I strongly believe that SCCP will give me the connections, first research experience, and knowledge I will need to become a successful clinical pharmacist. As a Jr. Research Chair, I will work tightly with my team to ensure every student is matched up with their area of interest to give them their first research experience alongside other valuable resources SCCP offers!

Greetings, my name is Patrick Stegall and I am currently serving as SCCP/Operation Nalaxone’s the Outreach Coordinator here at UHCOP. I was born and raised in the Richmond/Rosenberg area and obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University. After working 15+ years in the Oil & Gas industry, I was a high school Chemistry/Physics teacher for seven (7) years where I coached football, basketball, and track for one (1) year. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing golf, and watching sports. Pharmacy has always been a childhood dream because of my desire to help others live healthier lives. What I enjoy about SCCP is the opportunities it provides for growth and networking with practicing clinical pharmacists and other industry professionals. It my desire to serve my fellow SCCP officers ensure valuable resources are provided to the all UHCOP students and beyond.

I graduated from Texas A&M University College Station in 2021 with my bachelor’s in biology and then moved to Houston for pharmacy school. Hello, my name is Danielle Cortez and I am a first year student at UHCOP and am currently one of the P1 Liaisons for SCCP. I was born and raised in Houston and as an undergraduate, I attended The University of Texas at Austin and received my bachelor's degree in Public Health. I chose pharmacy because I was drawn to the growing impact it has in the healthcare system and the diverse opportunities it provides to those interested in pursuing a career within this field of care. I decided to be part of SCCP because of the opportunities the organization gives to its members, such as being able to listen to, learn from, and network with clinical pharmacists as well as interact with student pharmacists with different experiences who can guide me throughout my journey in pharmacy school. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and cooking.
